Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway from her side, also gave her the track a little more attention. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano that was in the attic. She was fascinated by the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to play music only for fun or as a means of growing, but that she must explore it. As a result, she started writing songs of her own. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an appreciation for the style of Bjork. She began performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mother suggested that they might help others not gain acclaim for her work, but instead help people see around them realize their own importance and how they could impact the world. The piano was her first instrument at the age of six. She began creating music after turning nine. Her family didn't hear about her musical journey until she was fourteen. Aurora never dreamed of being famous. Her only passion is to compose music. For her, the music she writes is the way that she feels everything.
